Detroit Lions Week 1 Report Card

What a sigh of relief.
The Detroit Lions opened week one of the NFL season in thrilling fashion, because it seems they just don’t know any other way. In a fourth-quarter comeback that resulted in a 35-23 win, here is a breakdown of each part of the Lions team.
Offense B-
The Lions opened the 2017 season with a Matthew Stafford interception returned for a touchdown, seemingly setting the tone for yet another dull season. However, when the fourth quarter hit, Stafford went nuts and threw 122 passing yards two touchdowns while completing seven out of nine passes.
This gaudy performance was more than exciting to witness, but don’t let it distract you from a rough outing for the offense. The Lions couldn’t do anything on offense until the second quarter, and even then they could only manage 10 points. Stafford finished 29-of-41 passing for 292 yards with four touchdowns and the one interception, with a 113.1 passer rating.
